Minnie's Boutique

Emme has a container full of Minnie Mouse dolls and accessories. Gideon LOVES playing Minnie Mouse with Emme.

The dog is Gidon's favorite toy. Which explains the giant string of drool!
Emme always sets up Minnie's boutique
Picking out clothes for Minnie and Daisy is very serious business
Gideon is so happy to be playing with Emme
After Emme dresses all of her Minnies, she lines them up for a fashion show. Gideon tried to attack the show! Luckily for Emme and Minnie, Gideon is not very quick yet. Thankfully Mama was able to intercept him before he caused total chaos and destruction.

Waiting on the Bus

Yesterday Dustin came to the bus stop with us and experienced "waitin' on the bus" first hand. According to Dustin we are hilarious, so he took pictures to document how awesome and hilarious we are. I had always thought we looked pretty okay standing there on the curb. But now that I have seen these pictures, I understand why everyone who drives by smiles and chuckles. We look like quite the ragamuffins! I am sure Dustin is thankful that he doesn't have to be seen "waitin' on the bus" with us every morning!

Embry Elizabeth

Emme has recently started speaking in complete sentences. It is awesome to be able to understand what she is saying. The things that she says and the way she says them are hilarious. Emme has a somewhat deep little voice, and she talks like a gangster. A gangster who follows everything she says with the Bollywood head wiggle. She makes me giggle all the time. Some of my favorite things that she says are:
"Where you at mom!? I look for you and I not see you." (she says this to me about a thousand times each morning while Elijah is at school)

"Elijah! He step on me!" (said while very passionately acting it out)

"I poop my pants!" (Emme likes to yell this when it isn't true because she likes to giggle at me when I start to freak out)

"Mom! You poop your pants!" (yelled pretty much anytime other people are listening)

"Auntie N! What you doing at your house?" (Emme asks Erin this every morning over and over again)

"Where Grandpa at, I know he home somewhere?" (Emme talked to grandpa on the phone one morning before he left for work, and now she is convinced he is always home hiding from her.)

"When Dad coming home mom? He miss me very much. I think he need me hug him tight." (Emme says this all day while checking out the window to see if Dustin is home)

"I miss Lijah very much Mom. And I know he probably miss me too" (said every morning when Elijah excitedly leaves her at the bus stop)

I love Emme! Everyday is an adventure with her. She is a feisty, opinionated and extremely stubborn little girl. But she is also extremely kind and very loving. She worships Elijah and she loves her baby Dideon. She is a huge Daddy's girl, she waits all day for him to come home. She gives the BEST hugs! Her hugs are second only to her daddy's hugs, and I think that is just because she isn't as big and can't squeeze as hard as him yet. Emme is a beautiful little girl inside and out, and we love her just the way she is.

Gideon's 6 Month Stats

Gideon now weighs 16lb. 9oz. which means that he only gained one pound in the last few months. But he has grown quite a bit in length/height, and is now 27in long.

Elijah wanted me to take a picture of all three kids together so that everyone can see that even though Gideon is getting bigger, Elijah is still the biggest. LOL

Family Day

Today Elijah's class had a family day. Dustin was able to get a few hours off so that just he and Emme could go. Emme was very excited that she was going somewhere without "Baby Dideon." She was telling me very excitedly all morning "I go school with Lijah and Daddy, but Baby Dideon has to stay home!" Everyone had a great time. Elijah was very happy that Daddy was able to come to his class and meet his friends.

Happy 6 Months Gideon!

Today is Gideon's 6 month birthday! Gideon is still a very happy and content little guy. He does still prefer his Mama to other people, but he will accept Elijah as a substitute when I can't hold him. Gideon loves his kids! If he can see them or if he thinks he is playing with them, then he is usually very happy. Gideon is a great sleeper and thankfully we have only had a few rough nights with him in his whole little 6 month life. I have been trying to get him to sit on his own, but he still is much too interested in his own feet to stay upright. LOL He tried solid food for the first time a few nights ago and he wasn't too impressed. The kids loved that he was eating "real" food! He was  much more interested in the giggles and squeals they were making about him eating than he was in actually eating. Gideon is working on some teeth, so he has turned into quite the chewer. EVERYTHING goes in his mouth. Gideon loves getting kisses and he opens his mouth now and gives his own slobbery sorta kisses in return. He loves getting hugs and squeezes. The last few days he has been getting up into the crawling position, but he hasn't crawled quite yet. He is still very content with rolling and he gets around pretty well that way.

West Virginia

Every Fall I am reminded of how much I loved, and still love West Virginia. I married Dustin and moved to West Virginia in September, which is basically the beginning of Fall up there. I had a bit of a rough transition that first month or so, with being so far away from my family, and I felt like I was out in the middle of nowhere. And I remember once the Fall colors had completely set in, I was driving over the mountains on my way home from work one day, and I felt like a giant patchwork quilt was just wrapping me up. I have loved West Virginia ever since. West Virginia was where Dustin and I were newlyweds, it's where we made our first home and where we had our beautiful Elijah. For me West Virginia really was and still is my "Almost Heaven." I hope someday when Dustin and I are old we can go back there. Maybe we can even buy a mountain there and retire. Until then, I have amazing pictures that I can look at and I have the John Denver song "Country Roads" and I have my Elijah and Dustin, to remind me of some of the greatest memories of my life.

Fall Time Snuggles

I love Fall time. It is my favorite season. I love the way the falling leaves make the air smell, the cool crisp air and the fun fuzzy caterpillars you find everywhere. The only thing I don't love about Fall, is how cold it can get at night.
I have always been a cold person (I am describing my body temperature, not my personality, that is stunning! Lol.) When I was younger I always tried to get Erin to let me sleep with her when it was really cold outside. Unfortunately, Erin was not a fan of being smothered and laid on all night. So I spent many cold nights snuggling under my awesome Tiawana blanket because no one wanted to "snuggle with a Tuggle."
But then I married Dustin! Dustin is the hottest person I have ever had the pleasure of snuggling with. And the best part is that he had to start sharing his bed with me! Yay! Sleeping with Dustin is like having my own heater in my bed. If I feel cold I just wrap my arms and legs around him and I am perfectly cozy! And despite his own discomfort at times, (I make him really hot, he sleeps with the fan on and just a sheet even in the winter,) he lets me cuddle without complaining. I look forward to going to bed with Dustin everynight. It is my favorite part of the day!

Eating Toes

I have been trying to encourage Gideon to sit on his own. My other two learned to sit at about this age. But Gideon is way too interested in his toes to sit.

Anytime I actually get him to sit, he squeals and then dives for his toes!
When he has had his fill of toes, he throws himself forward and makes a rolling escape.
