Handsome Boy

6 Weeks!

Gideon is 6 weeks old today! Gideon is a sweet little baby, and he is full of smiles. Gideon has a very serious almost angry expression most of the time but he really is a happy little dude. He smiles and giggles all the time. He is able to kind of control his hands now, and the kids love when he touches their faces while they talk to him. He is an amazing sleeper and a great eater. Gideon LOVES when Emme and Elijah sing to him and he even tries to sing with them. He has proven to be a good little traveler, both in the car and in adjusting to the new environment.

Daddy's Girl

Kids do amazing things everyday, and little kids change so much from one day to the next. It is sad but as a parent you get caught up in the everyday routine and a lot of times I think you don't acknowledge or notice as much as you should the great things that happen every day. Thankfully, there are moments that are so special they can not be ignored. Tonight I had one of those moments with Emme. Tonight Emme said "I love you" for the first time. For the last year or so she would respond to us saying "I love you" to her by blowing a kiss at us. But tonight she said it perfectly to her Daddy. Fantastic! It truly brought tears to my eyes it was so sweet. Dustin has been in Ohio for business the last four days and we have been in Illinois with my parents and sister. Emme has very much missed her Daddy. Emme is a huge Daddy's girl! Tonight reminded me of how sweet and sensitive Emme really is. Emme is a very feisty and opinionated little girl, and she knows exactly what she wants. I think that those traits often times overpower her sweetness. But when her sweet moments come out, oh, they are so sweet. We love our Emme!

Yay for Emme!

Yesterday Emme had no accidents! And we even left the house for about 2 hours! Today she has had only one partial accident! I am so proud of little miss Emmers!

One Month Check-Up

Gideon had his one month check-up today. The kids were very excited to go see Dr. Harder! I was excited to see how big Gideon had gotten considering how much weight he lost right after he was born. He has gotten quite the little baby belly and some chubby little cheeks in the last two weeks or so. Gideon is now 22.5in long which is in the 82 percentile and he weighs 10lb 14oz which is in the 77 percentile! He is our biggest baby yet! Dr. Harder said not to get excited though, and that more than likely he will balance out his weight and be just as small as the other two, but we are definately going to enjoy the baby pudge while it lasts. Hopefully it will last for a good long while! LOL

Potty Time!

Last month I started potty training Emme. She was doing really well and I almost had her ready for big girl undies. But then, I had Gideon. The three weeks after Gideon was born I really did not work with Emme at all. So this last week we have really been tryng. I decided this weekend that we were just going to put Emme in big girl panties! So far she has been doing really great. We have had some accidents but we have also had many successes! We think she is doing awesome. Especially since she isn't even 2 yet! Go Emme!

Mother's Day

Every mother's day I think about how lucky I am to be a mom. I have been blessed with three of the most beautiful children. From the moment I knew I was pregnant with Elijah, he has given the greatest amount of joy. My Embry, she is the light and laughter of my life. I had a very hard pregnancy with Emme. I did not want to get attached to her at all in case I lost her. Once she was born though I loved her instantly. Gideon has been the best unexpected gift of my life. He was my easiest pregnancy and so far he has been my best baby. I am grateful everyday that I have the children I have. I am grateful for Dustin and the love he gives to me and our kids.

Summer Time

It is finally warm enough here in Green Bay to wear shorts! Yay! Hopefully the warm weather will last for more than one day!

I finally was able to get a picture of Gideon smiling! He is my happy little guy! He loves to smile for his mama! Gideon has also started smiling for Emme and Elijah! They love when he smiles for them!

Sibling Love

Any time Gideon is on the floor, both kids are right there to entertain him. Gideon is one lucky boy!

Overalls!

I love that Gideon can wear Elijah's old clothes. These overalls were a favorite of mine for Elijah to wear, now they are definately a favorite for Gideon to wear! Too cute!

Lazy Days

The last two days have been nice, calm, lazy days. Both yesterday and today have been dark and rainy. We haven 't had to go anywhere or do anything. Except...sleep. Yesterday all three kids took three hour naps at the same time! I did not even know what to do with myself. Lol Then today Elijah, Emme and I all took two and a half hour naps. Gideon slept a whole hour longer than us! I love rainy days! It finally feels like we are getting a new routine and schedule figured out. Both Elijah and Emme seeem to be calming down and are finally acting more like themselves. The last two weeks have been a little stressful for all of us, and none of us have been on our best behavior. Lol Hopefully all of this keeps up!

Gideon is 2 Weeks Old!

Gideon turned 2 weeks old yesterday. He is a very content little guy. And he is an awesome eater and sleeper! We haven't been able to decide who he looks like, Elijah of course says he looks just like him. LOL I think he is quite the combination of Elijah and Emme as babies. I do see a little bit of my Dad in him, and I think he definately got the Tuggle mouth and lips.

Gideon's First Real Bath

Gideon's cord finally fell off yesterday, so we were able to give him a real bath this morning.

It was hard to tell if Gideon liked the bath. He didn't cry at all, he just layed there staring at me, but his facial expressions seemed to say that he was a little annoyed with the whole thing. He could have been annoyed at the noise level in the bathroom during his bath. He had a very excited brother and sister in the bathroom with him making all kinds of noise.
