Gideon is One Week Old!

This week has been quite an adjustment for all of us. Thankfully it has gone pretty smoothly. Emme and Elijah are still very much in love with their brother, and are always willing to hold him. And they love when he is actually awake! Dustin and I have had to adjust to being tired all the time. LOL Gideon is a great sleeper though and thankfully we are all getting caught back up on our sleep. Gideon is a very calm and easy going baby. He has a sweet little disposition and he is very alert and watchful of everything going on around him.

Gideon Aaron Coffman

Gideon Aaron Coffman joined us on April 16th at 2:04pm. He weighed 8lbs 4oz and he was 21in. long. He is an amazingly content baby. He really only cries/fusses when he is hungry or when he gets his diaper changed. Gideon is a great eater, which has been great for him and for mom.

Emme LOVES her "baby." Anytime someone is sitting and holding Gideon, she comes over with her arms out, and insists on holding him.

Elijah is a great big brother. He is great at talking to Gideon and he loves singing to him.

Gidedon had his first doctors appoinment on Thursday. He has lost some weight since his birth and he is now 7lbs 10oz. He has to go in on Monday for another weight check. After his appoinment Gideon was exhausted and fell fast asleep on grandpa's warm chest.

Gideon has been spending more time awake the last day or so. The kids love when he is awake! And they think it is hilarious when he tries to focus on them, and his eyes go crossed.

Happy Easter!

Our morning started out rough. Although Emme LOVED her new dress and shoes, she was not going to have her picture taken. Elijah as always was very compliant! He loves feeling like he is handsome. Thankfully though, by the end of church everyone was very happy and ready to be photographed.

Bay Shore Park

Dustin heard about a fun new park, so this morning we decided to try it out. There is a big playset that is shaped like a pirate ship with slides and fun things to climb. Emme stuck with mom and dad, but Elijah was everywhere! I could hardly get a picture of him! Except for when he stopped to steer the ship! Emme was happy to just be outside, and to be around lots of little kids.

Easter Egg Hunt

Elijah's friend Joey's mom hosted an Easter egg hunt at her house this afternoon. Elijah and Emme were very excited! They got to decorate Easter cookies, color an Easter picture and then hunt for the eggs. The little kids and the big kids were divided for the egg hunt and I went with Emme, so unfortunately I don't have many pictures of Elijah finding eggs. But I could definately tell that they both had a great time. We went to lunch with Daddy after the party, and then we came home to take a nap. Emme and Elijah both took a three hour nap! I think we should have an Easter egg hunt everyday!
