Great Days

Alright, so Monday and Tuesday of this week were really not good for me at all. I am blaming the bad moments that I have on the emotions of pregnancy though. I think Elijah realized that I really could not handle another not so good day this week, so he has been a great kid the last two days. Wednesday Eli took a 4 hour nap, woke up in a great mood, and still went to bed at 7:30. Today Eli woke up around 6:30 and still took another 4 hour nap! When he woke up we went to McDonald's for lunch. At McDonald's Eli ate half of a cheseburger, which is amazing because Eli never eats that much. After that I was so proud of the little man that we went to Toys R' Us and walked around. I love Toys R' Us, even as an adult it still makes me happy. I love toys, and I love getting Eli new puzzles and toys because then I can play with them too.

Eagle Bluff Lighthouse

The park that we went camping at had a lighthouse that overlooked the bay. Once we were all packed up on Sunday we drove over to see it. I love lighthouses, and have never actually seen one before, so I was very excited. I forgot to write on my last post, but we were woken up in the early morning hours by a bunch of wild turkeys that had wandered into our campsite. Kind of funny. We laid in bed and listened to them gobble and scratch around outside. In WV we saw wild turkeys all over the place, but wild turkeys in Wisconsin, who would have thought.

Camping

Last weekend Dustin took Elijah and I camping at a state park in the upper peninsula of Wisconsin. I have never had a good experience camping before, so I was not excited for this trip, especially since I am 6 1/2 months pregnant. But I was really trying to be positive for Dustin and Eli's sake. Amazingly I was very pleasantly surprised, Dustin did an awesome job preparing for everything and taking care of us while we were actually camping. Elijah had a great time camping, I think that he is going to be daddy's little camping buddy. I told Dustin that I would actually go camping again with him, which honestly is saying alot! LOL

Silly Elijah!

Last week ELi decided that he was not going to use the little potty anymore, and that he was going to use the big potty. So, I bought him two of the little potty seats that fit on the toilet so his little butt won't fall through. Well, once he realized that he won't fall into the toilet with his seat on it, he decided that he wanted to get on and off the toilet himself. It is hilarious to watch, first he struggles to get one of his feet on the seat, and then he pulls himself up and then flips around so he is facing forward. Truly, he should be a gymnast! LOL Since he has become a pro at these acrobatics, Dustin and I have found him not only sitting on the potty by himself, but actually using the potty by himself. Elijah has refused to wear clothes or a diaper for the last two days, as these get in the way of going potty, and he amazingly has had no accidents!!!! He runs in and out of the potty all day, and uses it all by himelf! Yea!!!!!!!! I am so excited, I think that we are making a huge step here. The only sad thing is that I don't think they make big boy undies in his size. Yesterday Eli and I went to Wal-mart, and we were looking at the big boy undies, and the smallest size they had was a 2T. This is terrible though because although he wears 2T shirts, he still needs 18 month pants.

Happy Easter

Grandma and Grandpa Tuggle came up from Illinois to spend Easter with us this year. Auntie Erin sent awesome Easter baskets with them for Dustin and I and Elijah. Grandpa hid a few eggs for Elijah that had candies and goodies in them. Then Grandma and Grandpa blew bubbles with the new bubble bucket Auntie Erin got for him. After that we colored eggs. Eli was not so sure about coloring with crayons on the eggs though, I think he thought I was crazy for suggesting it. LOL He did enjoy putting the eggs in the colored water to make them a color though. We had a great Easter and we are grateful that we got to spend it with Grandma and Grandpa Tuggle.

Maverick and Gus

My parents have two dogs named Maverick and Gus. Maverick is a shepard/pit bull mix and Gus is the largest full bred black labrador that I have ever seen. Elijah LOVES the dogs and they love him. He talks about them all the time and asks me everyday when we are going to Grandma and Grandpa's house to see the dogs. Elijah tells everyone that he has two dogs named "mine Gus and mine Mavi, and they live with Aunt En at her house." Earlier this week Erin came out to keep Eli and I company while Dustin was out of town on business. She brought with her a stuffed animal version of both Maverick and Gus. Elijah has had to carry them everywhere with him. He has had to sleep with them, and they have had to come in the car with him, he even wanted to bring them in the shower with him (which is amazing because he doesn't let anyone shower with him.) Thanks Auntie En for the awesome stuffed dogs to keep us company while we are away from the real versions of Mavi and Gus.
