Big Boy Bike

Elijah has had this bike for about a year, but due to an unfortunate accident/incident he has been afraid to ride it, or even sit on it. Today though, Dustin was finally able to convince him to sit on it long enough for a picture. After which, he very quickly got back off of the bike. We are very proud of Elijah for being brave and sitting on his bike!

Elijah looks like such a big kid! To ease his fears, I give you permission to share the tales of my many bicycle mishaps with him. Just give him the following advice... 1.) Keep your shoes tied tight so the laces don't wrap around the pedals. 2.)Riding your bike over gravel will not slow you down! 3.)Riding your bike off a dock sounds like fun- just don't do it in shallow water! 4.) Just because a pothole looks small, doesn't mean it isn't deep! It's better to avoid them altogether. 5.) If you're going up a hill, do not stop peddaling if you get scared. Gravity will work against you in a bad way! And finally, 6) If you do fall down it is okay. Ripped pants = sweet cutoff shorts!
Good luck Eli! I know you will be awesome!
