Pennies Saved Are Toys Earned

We have always had our kids save their "moneys" up so that they can buy themselves special treats or toys.

They had been saving since around Christmas, and they had both saved up quite a bit. Elijah had saved almost $16 and Emme almost $10! Quite impressive considering most of their change was pennies that they either found or earned by being good. It was so fun to take them to the store and let them pick out their own toy with their own money.

Elijah picked out an Octonauts toy and Emme picked out a Snow White baby doll. Being the nice big brother and sister they are, they even used their extra "moneys" to buy "baby Dideon" a light up baton!

Dinosaur Museum

Elijah loves dinosaurs, so Uncle Andrew and Aunt Lacie took us to the dinosaur museum on campus. Elijah was in heaven! 

Adams Family

After a few days in Utah we headed to Colorado to spend time with the Adams.

 The kids loved the slide and the trampoline

 It rained a lot while we were there. But, the kids had a great time playing together.

Ice Cream and Friends

We went to the Creamery and had ice cream with....

and her mom, dad and little brother.

Bridal Veil Falls

Andrew and Lacie took us to Bridal Veil Falls for a fun picnic of Betos. The kids were very excited to be able to run around and wrestle.

 Gideon wanted to live there! He did not want to go back to Andrew and Lacie's house.

 Elijah was a pro at walking around in the little pond at the bottom of the Falls

The rocks hurt Dustin and I's feet and Emme was not to excited about how cold the water. Daddy and Emme found a log to sit on and they enjoyed the water that way.

Utah Vacation

We drove out to Utah to visit with Andrew, Lacie and Paris. It was a long drive! At the end of the first day

the kids were exhausted. Everyone did really well on the drive, and there were no tragedies or break downs! 

 Elijah loves the scooter and asks all the time to go for rides on it with Daddy

Dustin and Elijah loved the scooter so much...that they strapped it on the back of the Tahoe and brought it home to Green Bay!
