Eli's Travels

The last few weeks have been full of travel for baby Eli and I. Eli and I were able to go home to the Chicago area for about a week to visit with the Tuggles! Eli did really well on the flights and actually slept almost the whole time. However his diaper did not do so well! Apparently the change in pressure during the flight caused his wet diaper to explode all over us. This happened on both flights and was not so fun! But overall the trip back home was great and I was excited for Eli to meet some of the extended family. He was able to meet favorite Uncle Jim (pictured above), Aunt Marge, Aunt Tami and Uncle Frank. And of course it was great to be able to visit with Grandma and Grandpa and Auntie Erin! They always do a great job of spoiling us both rotten! The same week that Eli and I got back from Chicago, we went to PA to visit with the Coffmans. Mandy and the girls were there visiting and it was great for them to be able to meet Eli. Eli loved Aunt Mandy and the girls, and was ecstatic to have two beautiful little girls fighting for his attention! Savannah and Camden really seemed to like Eli and wanted to be involved in everything that he did including his feedings, diaper changes and baths. Camden kept telling Dustin and I how lucky she was to have a "baby Eli." It was really cute and they were both amazing with him. Eli is very lucky to have two such great cousins!

Eli is 3 months old!

Eli will officially be 12 weeks old on Saturday! Man has time flown by! It seems like just yesterday Dustin and I brought home a tiny little guy who just wanted to sleep and eat. Now we have a 3 month old with his own little personality and his own ideas on how and when things should be done! Eli loves to play with his toys, and his favorite friend is his cheetah Sam. His favorite game is peek-a-boo, although I think that he likes hiding more than peeking and he usually tries to hold the blanket over his face. He thinks that he is very funny when he does this! He LOVES to talk and the only time that he isn't is when he is asleep, and even then he snores! LOL He likes to laugh and although I wouldn't call the noise that he makes a giggle quite yet, we can tell that that is what he is trying to do. Eli has recently discovered he feet and loves to grab them and attempt to roll himself over while still holding on to them. He hasn't rolled over yet, but he has figured out how to kick one foot at a time and turn himself around in his bed. He now likes to lay sideways in his bed instead of long ways! He loves to get baths and Dustin and I are convinced that he is going to be an olympic swimmer! Best of all he loves to smile and he does it all the time! There is nothing better than waking up in the morning and hearing his happy chatter in his bed, and then going over to say good morning and being greeted by a huge smile and happy screech! That definately makes all the nasty diapers and crying tantrums seem insignifigant! Dustin and I feel very lucky to have been blessed with such a beautiful little boy! Eli brings my life pure joy, and I am very thankful for that!

Marley the Monkey

After weeks of tears and frustration, Eli has finally succeeded at getting Marley the monkey! Since Eli was just a little guy Marley has hung above him on the canopy of his magic carpet, teasing him by being just out of reach. But now that Eli has become a somewhat bigger little guy, he is able to reach up and pull him off of his hook so he can now hold him and of course put him in his mouth (which is where EVERYTHING goes these days!) Now Eli's magic carpet playtime is filled with happy noises and sounds! Eli loves talking to Marley!

4 Days of Bachelorhood!

Liz and Eli have abandoned me!!!  While Liz and Eli visit "the fam" in Chicago, I'm left all alone...sniff, sniff....
It's so sad how quickly I forgot how to take care of myself!!  LOL  Lucky for me Liz made some casseroles for me to eat while she's gone, and she even bought me some Dr. Pepper to help ease the pain.  If Donny could ever figure out where he packed his XBOX wires, we could play some Halo2......I'm still waiting DONNY!!!!!!!
Just for fun--here's a picture from Thanksgiving of me and Dallin giving Andrew a Good Morning Wedgie!!!
