Gideon and Evelyn
It is amazing how just two weeks ago Gideon seemed so tiny and now he seems like such a big boy. Gideon loves Evelyn and he thinks she is quite entertaining. Except when she cries, then he just wants mom to take her.

Gideon's Mickey Mouse Birthday
Gideon is obsessed with Mickey Mouse. So, he was very excited when for his birthday he received all Mickey Mouse gifts.
Auntie N made Gideon Toodles shaped cookies because he does not like cake.
He loved being sung Happy Birthday to!

Gideon the Giderman
It is amazing to think that one month ago Gideon gave Dustin and I quite the scare. In one moment our lives changed forever. We had never had to deal with one of kids being sick beyond the usual kid stuff. To see Gideon struggling and suffering the way he was, was incredibly frightening. And then to hear the possibilities for why the seizures were happening was truly heartbreaking. I think both Dustin and I shut down emotionally until we got the confirmation that the MRI results were clear. We still don't have a 100% reason for why Gideon started to have the seizures beyond the diagnosis that they were Convulsive Epileptic Seizures and we know where exactly in his brain they start. For right now though, we are grateful that the medicine he is taking is working and that so far he has had no negative side effects. If anything Gideon has blossomed and grown amazing amounts this last month. Gideon is back to his sweet, goofy and cuddly little self. He is talking so much better than he had been and his vocabulary improves everyday. He LOVES his Daddy and will sit for as long as Dustin will let him, just petting Dustin's hair and face. It is hilarious to watch him interact with his brother and sister and I am so excited to see him with Evelyn. We are extremely positive about the next few years with Gideon and are looking forward to him hopefully being able to be weaned off of the anti-seizure medication before he starts school. Whatever happens though, to us Gideon is perfect. We feel incredibly blessed that Heavenly Father gave Gideon to us, exactly how he is.
