Sunday morning I was putting Emme down off of my bed, and I thought that I felt her feet hit the ground, so I let go of her. Well, she hadn't touched the ground and she fell very awkwardly to the ground. Dustin and I both heard the most horrible popping sound, and we both knew it was not good. Monday, Dustin took her to the doctor and Emme had an x-ray taken. The pediatrician looked at it and thought there was no break, but he had the Orthopedic Doctor look at the x-ray this morning, and there was in fact a fracture. The fracture goes straight up her Tibia from her ankle. So, Emme got a fabulous hip high pink cast put on this afternoon. Emme is taking everything much better than Dustin and I. I cry everytime I look at her for too long, I mean seriously, I dropped her off of the bed. Talk about mom of the year! Thankfully, she has forgiven me. She would not let me take her to the doctor yesterday or today and insisted Daddy take her. She is very much a Daddy's girl and she used her charms on him both days to get an icee and a toy after the doctor. Emme has a follow up appointment in 3 weeks and the Orthopedist will decide then if the cast can be removed.
Liz (aka Fef) and Dustin (aka Funshine) were married September 16th 2006. Over the years Elijah, Embry, Gideon, and most recently Evelyn have joined our family.

Howdy Cowboy!
Nana and Pop-Pop sent Gideon some Woody and Buzz jammies for his birthday. Gideon loves them! He even decided to walk a little for Daddy when he was getting his picture taken! Yay! I am working on getting pictures of him in the Buzz outfit, but he somehow always manages to get his pants off in that outfit. They are the only pants he takes off. We didn't even know he could get his own pants off until the Buzz pants. LOL

Dance Class
Emme had her very first dance class today! She had a great time and she did really well. It was hilarious to watch her because she was so much smaller than the other kids. We had a hard time seeing her and getting pictures of her.

Emme's Quilt
Thank you Great Grandma Dexter for the beautiful quilt that you made for Emme!
Emme absolutely loves the bright colors!
The 3-D flowers and leaves are awesome!
All of the colors are perfect and the baskets are so fun!
Gideon's Shoes
Gideon had his one year check-up today and although he is small for his age, he is completely healthy. The doctor did have a concern about Gideon's feet though. Ever since Gideon was born his feet have turned in pretty significantly. I have talked to the doctor about it before and we both decided to wait and see if once he started walking they would straighten on their own. Well, they haven't. Gideon's feet are now turning in and rolling while he is standing. The doctor said that because of that Gideon can't get balanced, and that is why he isn't walking on his own. So, he gave us two options we could either go see a specialist in Milwaukee now, or we can have him wear hard sole shoes for the next three months and see if his feet correct themselves from being more structured. Dr. Harder said that he feels strongly that just by wearing hard shoes his feet will be okay. We decided to try the shoes for now and then if in three months there is no improvement then we will go see the specialist. Hopefully, little Gideon will be walking on his own very soon.

Happy 1st Birthday Gideon!
One year ago today this little guy joined our family. Gideon has been a huge blessing to our family. Gideon has always had a very sweet personality. He is a deep thinker and he very often has his little eyebrows crinkled together while watching everything that is going around him. Gideon is still a very easy kid. He loves sharing a room with his best friend "Lijah." Gideon loves everything about his brother and is content to just be near Elijah. Emme and Gideon have decided that the other one is pretty fun to play and wrestle with. It is hilarious to watch them because they weigh the same amount, but Gideon is much more willing to throw his weight around. Gideon says "Mama, Dada and Lijah." He walks well holding onto things and people. He especially loves when Elijah helps him walk like a big boy. He has taken a few steps on his own, but he still considers crawling the faster option for getting where he wants to go. He has been able to go up stairs for a little while now, but has just recently learned how to go down feet first instead of head first. Gideon is still quite the climber and has gotten some pretty good booboos because of it. He has a very silly obsession with shoes and the dishwasher. He also loves the hair dryer and is very content to play with it so that mom can shower by herself. We are very grateful for Gideon. He has been the greatest surprise of my life and will always be my sunshine. Gideon has taught me that Heavenly Father really does know what we need, even if we don't want to need it, and that He always wants us to be happy. I am forever grateful that every time I look at Gideon I think of my Grandpa Dexter, who I love very much and who I know is watching over me and all of my kids. Happy birthday Gideon! We love you so very much!

Three Little Coffmans
Today the weather was finally decent enough to go for a walk! Yay! Elijah did not want to walk, so he managed to squeeze himself into the double stroller with Emme and Gideon.

Happy (early) 1st Birthday Gideon!
We celebrated Gideon's birthday today even though his actual birthday is on Tuesday. Gideon got a very fun Tigger balloon from Elijah and Emme.
He also got some Legos from Mom and Dad, but the packaging was much more fun!
Gideon does not like cake, so instead he had chocolate malt ice cream. It was very yummy!
Car Seat!
Grandma and Grandpa Tuggle sent Gideon a front facing car seat for his birthday! It was way too big and exciting of a box to try to hide, so Gideon got his present a few days early. Gideon LOVES his new car seat! We took him for a joyride in the Jeep and he sang and squealed the whole time. He really likes to be able to see everything that is going on. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

Poor Elijah
Dustin got a call from Elijah's school this morning making him aware of an accident that Elijah had had on the playground. They said that he had fallen and knocked his head on the ground and that he had a bump on his forehead. Um...yeah that is quite a bump! Poor little dude!
Emme Ballerina
Emme is going to be starting a ballet/tap class at the YMCA next week. She is very, very excited about it. She has been practicing her moves and poses since I told her she got into the class.

Big Boy Bike
Elijah has had this bike for about a year, but due to an unfortunate accident/incident he has been afraid to ride it, or even sit on it. Today though, Dustin was finally able to convince him to sit on it long enough for a picture. After which, he very quickly got back off of the bike. We are very proud of Elijah for being brave and sitting on his bike!

Candy Thief
Gideon has been very interested in Emme's and Elijah's Easter candy, and now that he is very mobile he can get to it when they are not looking. This unlucky dark Milky Way was left to close to the edge of the couch. He chewed that thing through the wrapper until it was paper thin. Yes, Gideon was quite pleased with himself!
