Getting Ready For Gideon!

The other day I realized that we should probably start getting ready for Gideon's arrival. Both to help break up the initial expense of the little guy and because I got rid of/gave away all of my little boy stuff. He definately was in need of some clothes and other things. One of the things the kids helped me pick out were some new baby towels for Gideon. As you can see though, they have already pretty much decided the towels are theirs. Elijah told me he was just borrowing the towel until Gideon needs it, but I am pretty sure Emme is not gonna give the monkey towel up. LOL She is having a hard time understanding who exactly all this stuff is for. She has had to try on all of the baby clothes that we have bought, especially the socks, and every once in a while she picks out one of Gideon's outfits to wear after bath. She is good though because once I tell her those clothes are for Gideon she gladly throws them down and finds one of her own outfits to put on.

It's a Whale, It's a Walrus, It's an 8 Month Pregnant Lady!

Well, we have hit the 32 week mark in this pregancy. Overall, this pregnancy has been great. Besides feeling and actually being huge, I have not been sick at all. We are all getting excited for little Gideon to arrive. Elijah is especially excited to have a little baby brother. Emme has decided that she loves babies, unfortunately they do not like her. They always cry when she tries to play with them. LOL Andrew and Lacie: Our big baby in my belly says "hey" to your little baby in Lacie's belly!

Three Cheers for Emme!

So, Emme and I have been working on potty training for a few days now, and she has been doing awesome! Everyday she goes "potty" on the potty a few times a day and she has even started to tell me when she needs to go instead of me just guessing when she needs to! And last night she even decided that she only wants to use the big girl potty seat on the potty instead of her little frog potty! This is very exciting for me, because cleaning out the little frog potty is much nastier than simply flushing the potty! Yay! At this rate, I will only have one in diapers at a time! AWESOME!

Elijah Star Fish!

We received a new picture as a gift, and it came with cardboard, corner protectors on it. While Dustin and I were hanging the picture, Elijah turned into "Elijah Star Fish." He is quite the imaginative little guy!

Yay for Emme!

After only two days of potty training, Emme had success tonight! It was even a number two success! Yay for Emme! Elijah has been a great big brother to Emme. He very patiently sits in the bathroom with her and brings her lots of books.

Let the Potty Training Begin!

Okay, so I had to post these potty pictures. Little kids are so cute on the potty, especially with their little books! Too fun! Emme hasn't actually gone potty on the potty yet, we have only tried once yesterday and once today, but she LOVES to sit on it. And that is half the battle. It took me a week and a whole package of as he called them, "his poo cookies" to get him to sit on the potty. Emme seems content to just sit there and read books to herself.

ABC's

Elijah has known his ABC's for over a year now, but recently Emme has started to sing along with him. She knows some of the letters, but mostly just dances while he sings. It is funny though because she says "a" just like the girl on My Fair Lady, before she is taught how to talk properly.
