Waiting For Elijah

Every afternoon Elijah's school bus drops him off at exactly 12:03. At about 11:40 everyday these two little people go and wait at the window for Elijah to come home.

Grandma and Grandpa Tuggle got Elijah a Star Wars Angry Bird playset/game. Elijah has not stopped playing with it since he opened it! 

Nana and Pop-pop sent Elijah a Batman costume! He has been fighting crime all weekend.

5 Years!

Happy Birthday Elijah Scott!

It is crazy to think that 5 years ago we brought this little guy home from the hospital.

This year has brought a lot of changes to Elijah's life. We added Gideon to our family, and Elijah got not only a brother, but also a room mate. Thankfully, Elijah is an amazing big brother. He adores Gideon, and Gideon adores him. Elijah also started 4K, which he loves. Elijah met all of the academic requirements for 4K within the first month of school.  He is starting an advanced reading program next month to help keep him from getting bored. Elijah loves riding the school bus to and from school and gets quite upset on the rare occasion  that I have had to drive him. Elijah loves to draw and color pictures. He loves to play Transformers and imaginext toys. Elijah has always been a deep thinker, and I love hearing the things that he comes up with. Elijah has a sweet little personality and he is a good little boy. We are very blessed to have Elijah as a part of our family. 

Noses

The other day Emme and I were cuddling and Emme gave me her honest opinion on my nose...

"Mom, I love your pretty eyes."
"Thanks I love your pretty eyes Emme."
"And I love your pretty lips, they are a very nice pink."
"Thank you Emme, I love your lips. They are the same as your daddy's."
"I know they are nice. Mom, I like your ears too."
"Thanks Emmers."
"Mom, I don't like your nose though. It just doesn't work. You know like with your face."
"Oh, well alright Emme."

I didn't have the heart to tell her that from the looks of it so far, she has a pretty high chance of getting my nose. I didn't want to depress her. lol Too funny.

Two and a Half Years old!

Emme turned 2 1/2 years old yesterday. She is a funny little thing. Emme has always been kind of an old soul, most days she seems like she is 2 going on 15. Emme loves to dance (shake her booty) and sing. She loves to be dressed up pretty like a princess. She loves to wrestle with her brothers and she somehow manages to make herself slightly disheveled just moments after I have gotten her looking perfect. Her favorite   colors are "pink and purple, and pink and purple!" Emme loves her baby dolls and she almost always has one with her. She loves nursery and her teachers. She loves that they sing songs and blow bubbles every week. Emme is an amazingly upbeat and positive little girl. Her smile lights up the whole room, and her laugh is extremely infectious. Emme has brought tons and tons of happiness and sunshine into our family. We are incredibly blessed to have her.    

Two Little Dinosaurs

Elijah loves when he and Gideon match, he says that it makes them twins. Auntie "N" got the boys matching dinosaur sweatshirts for Christmas and Elijah loves them. I am sure Gideon likes the sweatshirt too, but honestly he was just way excited for his big brother to hold him. That kid LOVES his big brother!

Happy 9 Month Birthday Gideon!

Gideon is a very active little man these days. He starting crawling (instead of his army crawl), and hasn't been still since. Now that he can get around he is very content to just wander around the house and check out what everyone is doing. Gideon is still a very, very, very happy little guy. He is always smiling! He thinks that Elijah is the coolest person ever. He thinks Emme is hilarious, and he giggles at pretty much everything she does. Gideon has finally taken to solid food and will eat pretty much anything. He has recently found his voice and he hasn't been quiet since. He is always talking and singing. He has a very sweet, gentle little voice. We all enjoy hearing what he has to say. Gideon figured out how to pull himself up to things and now feels like he has to conquer everything! 

Gideon loves the puppy walker that he got for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa Tuggle. He likes to turn it sideways and then push it while he walks. He also likes to lay over the top of the seat on his belly and kick his little legs. He just giggles and giggles, it is pretty hilarious to watch.   

 Gideon LOVES his music table. He loves to make it play songs and then dance and sing to them.

 He has to be involved in everything I do. And now that he can pull himself up to the dishwasher he is my little dish washing buddy. He most definitely is a helper, and of course he doesn't ever get in the way. 

Gideon has discovered the stairs and he spends a good part of his day trying to climb them. He can get himself up onto the landing and he can even get himself down. If you count purposefully face planting off of it as getting down. It gets the job done right! LOL

Last week while we were in Colorado, I got my first Pedicure. When I showed Emme my toes she immediately told me that she wanted pink toes too. Today while the boys napped, I painted Emme's toes and fingers pink. She LOVES them!
