Tickling Eli

Thanks to Uncle Andrew for getting this video of an excited Eli!!

Suspension Bridge

Monday we went to see a cool suspension bridge and Otter Creek. Dustin and Andrew jumped all over in the creek going from rock to rock. They actually made it to the middle of the creek, but then had a hard time getting back to the bank. I thought for sure one or both of them would end up in the water, but amazingly everyone stayed dry. Except for our feet, but that was intentional. The water felt so good and cold, it was very refreshing.

Black Water Falls

This weekend we were lucky enough to have Andrew come and stay with us for a few days, and we decided to show him some of the cool things here in West Virginia. On Friday we went up to Black Water Falls. Andrew was nice enough to carry Eli in the Snugli down all of the stairs to get to the lookout. There are TONS of stairs. Thanks Uncle Andrew!

Day of Relaxation

Today I spent the afternoon cleaning out Eli's closet. I sorted through all of his clothes and packed away all of the ones that are now too small. I must say that I was pretty sad to pack some of them away, I think I had a bit of a sentimental attachment to a few outfits. We also found some new things that he hadn't worn yet like the striped hat pictured below. Eli loves hats, and of course his sunglasses. While I was working hard Eli was relaxing and only making more obvious the fact that he is spoiled! He definately knows that he is in charge! And he apparently has adopted Dustin's belief that the man always gets the remote! Luckily for me Eli likes watching Dr. Phil as much as I do, so he didn't change the channel.

Eli's Cool Shades

The other day at the store, Eli and I decided that he needed some cool sunglasses for Spring. They had these really cute sunglasses with the little stretch band that goes around his head. Too cute! So I put them on him and decided that if he kept them on while we finished our shopping we would get them. Well, he kept them on the whole time! I think he really likes them. He even likes to wear them in the apartment while he is on his magic carpet and playing with his toys. Also some exciting news, Eli rolled over! Yea! He rolled over the first time on Saturday and has since rolled over two other times. He is becoming such a big kid!

Pattern of Choice

Here in West Virginia camouflage is the pattern of choice for all ages all year round. Eli has several camo outfits in many different styles and colors of camo. Who knew there were different styles and colors of camo? This one is actually pretty cute, it is made up of little green, tan and white dinosaurs. Only in West Virginia would this be cool.

Beautiful Spring Day!

This week Dustin has been working very hard getting the grounds on campus ready for graduation this weekend. Since he has been working alot of long hard labor hours mulching, planting and mowing grass, Eli and I took him a picnic lunch today. We met Dustin at a pretty little gazebo that is in the middle of campus. The gazebo is next to a pond and surrounded by beautiful Azaelas. We ate bologna sandwiches and had a nice little picnic. The weather was perfect today and there was a nice cool breeze. Eli liked when the breeze would blow his hair. LOL I am so glad that spring has finally come to stay in Elkins West Virginia!

I AM IRON MAN!

So, Liz, Eli, and I saw "Iron Man" this evening.  FREAKING AWESOME MOVIE!!!  I had my doubts about Robert Downey Jr, but he did a great job.  I have had Black Sabbath stuck in my head since we left the movie theater.....
"Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind? Can he walk at all, Or if he moves will he fall? Is he alive or dead? Has he thoughts within his head? Well just pass him there Why should we even care? He was turned to steel In the great magnetic field Where he traveled time For the future of mankind Nobody wants him He just stares at the world Planning his vengeance That he will soon unfold Now the time is here For iron man to spread fear Vengeance from the grave Kills the people he once saved Nobody wants him They just turn their heads Nobody helps him Now he has his revenge Heavy boots of lead Fills his victims full of dread Running as fast as they can Iron man lives again!"
Ozzie isn't talking about the same Iron Man, but the song is awesome anyway...
